To pay an invoice with funds from a client’s trust account, open the invoice you want to accept payment against. To do this:
Go to the Invoicing tab.
Click View to open the invoice for which you are applying the trust account funds to.
Select the Record Payment button on the Invoice Details page.
Select Contact and Apply to (the invoice to apply the payment to)
Select From Trust Account
Select Contact, Bank Account and Trust Account
Enter the Amount you would like to transfer from the client's trust account to apply it to the invoice as a payment.
Select the Date, if different from the default.
Add optional Notes
Click the Make Payment button.
There are THREE ways to view payments made from Trust
When looking at the invoice in the History section.
Via the Transactions tab.
Via the Contacts tab. Select the contact then navigate to the Invoicing tab. You will default to the Transaction History where you can see the Amount and Balance for the Trust Account.
