Overview
Quick Bill is an easy way to email a client an invoice or request funds for a specific dollar amount. With our Quick Bill feature, you can attach your invoices, send payment requests, and see which have been opened, paid, or are still outstanding. Our Quick Bill feature helps firms get paid faster: 57% of paid Quick Bills are paid the same day the request is sent.
Viewing Quick Bills
To access Quick Bills:
Select Billing.
Select Quick Bills from the sub-menu.
View All Quick Bills or sort them by Sent, Partial, Paid or Overdue.
Filter bills by case or billing contact.
Review the Request, Contact, Account, Allocation, Amount, Paid, Amount Due, Date Due, Date Sent, Viewed, and Status.
Select the Quick Bill button to create a new Quick Bill.
Sending a Quick Bill to a New or Existing Contact
You can send Quick Bills to multiple locations and create multiple contacts with the same email address.
Quick Bills can be sent from the following locations:
The Dashboard
Quick Actions
Billing > Quick Bills
Contacts > Contact Details > Billing > Quick Bills
To send a Quick Bill, click the Send Quick Bill button in one of the locations above, then:
Select if this bill is for a New or Existing Contact.
Add Contact Information.
Add an Amount.
Select the Deposit Account.
Add an optional Reference.
Amend the Subject Line and Custom Email Text if needed, or leave it as is.
Add an Optional Attachment.
Click Send.
Updating User Permissions to Edit or Delete Quick Bills
You must be an Admin user to edit or delete Quick Bills.
To change permissions:
Go to Settings.
Select a Firm User.
Click the Edit User button.
Select Administrator and Manage Quick Bills and Invoices.
Click Save Changes.
Edit and Delete Quick Bills
To edit a Quick Bill:
Go to Billing
Select a Contact
Select Edit
Make changes.
Select Save and Resend or
Select Delete Quick Bill.
What the Client Sees
Your client will receive an email requesting payment. To make the payment, click the Pay Now button. Once the payment is complete, you will see it recorded in LawPay. More information can be found here.
