Overview
User permissions are established when adding users to LawPay. Only admin users can set or remove permissions. For instance, if you grant a staff member permission to manage Quick Bills and Invoices, they can create Quick Bills and Invoices in LawPay. Conversely, if you revoke this permission for a staff member, they can no longer create quick bills and invoices in LawPay.
Review the Editing Access User Permissions help article to see how to edit permissions.
Permissions affect what your staff can see and do in LawPay.
Permissions include:
Administrators
Administrators can edit firm billing settings and view all firm financials on the dashboard. This includes the capacity to modify firm-wide invoice settings and manage the LawPay subscription. Below is a screenshot of the dashboard for Admin users.

Collect Payments
Collect Payments enables staff to process card charges or receive payments via eCheck, whether from a client or stored in the system. They can collect payments for invoices and trust requests and deposit them into the firm's trust account. Below is a screenshot of the dashboard for staff members with Collect Payment permission.

Scheduled Payments
Scheduled Payments allow you and your firm to maximize cash flow by setting up future payments to recur automatically. This guarantees that your invoices get paid on time! Below is a screenshot of the Scheduled Payments page for staff members with Scheduled Payments permission.

Manage Quick Bills and Invoices
Managing QuickBills and Invoice permissions allows staff to create, edit, and delete invoices. They can also view the total financial invoice amounts on the dashboard. Below is a screenshot of the dashboard for staff members with this permission.
If a staff member does not have this permission, they will not see the invoices sub-tab under billing—it will be hidden. They will not see financial totals for invoices on the dashboard.
Issue Refunds
Issue Refunds allow staff members to refund payments made on invoices or into a trust account. Online and offline payments are refundable, but offline payments are only for bookkeeping purposes. Below is a screenshot of the invoice page for staff members with this permission.

View Reports
View Reports permission lets staff see the reporting tab on the left sidebar. If a staff member does not have this permission, the tab will be hidden. Below is a screenshot of the dashboard for staff members with this permission.

View Statements
View Statements permission allows you and authorized users to see firm Statements monthly. To view statements, click on your profile and select Statements. Below is a screenshot of the profile drop-down for staff members with the permission to view Statements.
